PALM DESERT, Calif. - The Santa Clara University women's golf team is in action at the Classic Club in Palm Desert, playing in Wyoming's Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate. Balbina Guajardo continued her solid play, posting rounds of 78 and 74 to place among the top 20 after Day One.
The event which will continue with 18 holes Sunday, is being held at the Arnold Palmer designed Classic Club, which hosted the PGA Tour's Bob Hope Chrysler Classic from 2006-08.
The Broncos are part of a 19-team, 103-woman field. Junior All-West Coast Conference honoree Taylor Camany and sophomore teammate Kaci McCartan also posted rounds in the 70's during Saturday's 36 holes.
