SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Kristin Le was just 4-over par for the weekend and Santa Clara, as a team, out-played 10 other schools to finish fourth at the Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate in Palm Desert.

Le, a First Team All-West Coast Conference performer as a freshman a year ago, fired a one-under par 71 during opening-round play and her scores of 75 and 74 in rounds two and three put her in the tournament's top-5. The field consisted of 82 players.

The event was the second of the young season for Santa Clara - and the Broncos again turned in a top-tier finish. Monique Riley, who was in the top 10 in Utah in the SCU opener, was among the top 15 at the Classic Club.

The Broncos will next travel to Colorado the weekend of October 9-11 to play in the Ron Moore Intercollegiate at Highlands Ranch.
