SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Sophomore Kristin Le of Santa Clara women's golf has been named to the 2015-16 West Coast Conference All-Academic Team. It is the first honor for Le. Ashley Noda and Meghan Shain were named honorable mention.
To be considered for the all-academic team a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 GPA while also being a significant contributor to the team.
Le has a 3.61 GPA as a business major. She is third in school history in stroke average (76.86) and competed in all 11 events this season. She had six top-10 finishes, including one tournament victory (Battle at the Rock – Feb. 22-23) and a second-place finish at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic (April 4-5). Le shot under par four times, including a career-low 70 in the final round of the Battle at the Rock
Noda, a marketing major, competed in 10 events this season and collected a win at the SCU Colby Invitational. She has finished with three top-10 finishes.
Shain, a communications major, had two top-10 finishes this season while competing in eight events.
