SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference announced its preseason golf teams on Friday, and Santa Clara had three student-athletes voted among the best.

Annie Freman and Kristin Le of the women's team, and Hayden Shieh from the men's squad were voted preseason All-WCC.

Freman has won a school-record six titles and is a three-time member of the All-WCC team. The senior has finished among the top 10 in 25 of 39 career tournaments and her 75.04 stroke average is the best in school history.

Le, a junior, finished among the top 10 in all five fall tournaments, including a victory at the Lady Mustang Invitational (Oct. 22-23), the second of her career. The junior has finished among the top 10 in 16 of 27 career starts.

A two-time NCAA Championships qualifier, Shieh nearly claimed his third-career win in this week's John A Burns Intercollegiate. The junior finished second in a field that included golfers from seven teams ranked in the Golfstat.com top 50.

The 2017 WCC Golf Championships will be held at Riverside Country Club in Provo, Utah, on April 20-22. The women were predicted to finish fourth and the men seventh.
