SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's golf opens its second tournament of the spring Monday at the 14-team Gold Rush, hosted by Long Beach State. Featuring nine teams ranked in the top-100 by Golfstat.com, the sixth edition of the event will be competed over two days at the 6,097-yard, par-72 Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach.

"We're excited to get back out there," head coach Krystal Kelly said after her Broncos improved their team score in each of the three rounds and finished sixth in the 15-team Battle at the Rock two weeks ago.

For the first time in her career, junior Kyleigh Moreno was the team's top finisher when she tied for 12th with a 10-over 226 at the Battle at the Rock. Her 76.29 stroke average is third-best on the team.

Moreno will be joined by senior Annie Freman, juniors Isabella Salant and Kristin Le, and freshman Chloe Wong when the Broncos tee off on Monday. Teams and individuals will play 36 holes the first day with a single 18-hole round on Tuesday.

West Coast Conference foe BYU is the highest ranked team in the tournament at No. 31 with neighboring San Jose State next at No. 50.
