Women’s Golf Adds Claire Choi

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Claire Choi signed a national letter of intent last week to play for Santa Clara women's golf.

The native of Honolulu, Hawaii, will be a member of the program beginning in 2018-19.

Choi, who plays at Punahou High School, as well as internationally, had a standout junior season. She led her team to the 2017 Hawaii High School Athletic Association David S. Ishii Foundation Girls Golf Championship, and earned the individual crown in the process.

"Claire had a standout summer, with par and subpar scores," head coach Krystal Kelly said. "Claire is going to make a huge impact on our program. I'm very excited to the future of Bronco golf."

She finished 32nd at the 2017 World Junior Championship and qualified for the 2017 Girl's PGA Junior Championship. She also played in the Girl's Junior Americas Cup representing Hawaii.
