SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Looking to continue their success from the fall, Santa Clara women's golf opens the spring portion of its schedule Monday at The Gold Rush, hosted by Long Beach State. The 14-team field and individuals will navigate the 6,189-yard, par-72 El Dorado Park Golf Course over 54 holes.

The last time the Broncos were on the links they came away with their second team title of the year, claiming the Cal Poly Invitational last October. Santa Clara also brought home hardware from the Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate and placed among the top-5 in its two other events.

"We're looking forward to getting back out and competing," head coach Krystal Kelly said. "It's a great field this week. I'm excited to see how we play."

Senior Kristin Le captured individual medalist honors at the Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate for her third career title. She also topped the squad with a 74.0 stroke average during the fall and finished among the top-5 in the final three events.

Fellow seniors Kyleigh Moreno and Isabella Salant, along with sophomore Chloe Wong and freshman Emily Sumner will make up the Broncos team in the first of their six spring tournaments. Freshman Ritida Nanda will compete as an individual.

Moreno and Wong competed in all four fall events, ranking second and fourth respectively on the team in average. Salant has competed in 21 events during her career, but will be making her debut this season.

Joining the Broncos in the tournament field are host Long Beach State, Boise State, Boston College, BYU, Cal Poly, Colorado State, Fresno State, Georgia, Gonzaga, Idaho, Sacramento State, Seattle and UC Irvine.

Teams and individuals will play 36 holes on Monday with Tuesday's final round covering 18 holes. The first day of play will tee off at 7:45 a.m. with live scoring available at golfstat.com.
