SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's golf will spend part of its spring break in Maui competing in the 13-team Anuenue Spring Break Classic, which opens play Monday at the 6,022-yard, par-72 Kapalua Bay Course. The field will play a single 18-hole round over three days.

"We are so excited to be here," head coach Krystal Kelly said. "It's beautiful. I think everyone is excited to play at Kapalua, It's a good golf course and we know it well."

The Broncos are coming off a ninth-place finish at the BYU Entrada Classic two weeks ago in what was the most difficult field they played in this season. Freshman Emily Sumner led the way with a 23rd-place finish on the individual leaderboard. Sumner carded a career-low score of 71 in the final round of that event.

Senior Kristin Le has played every round this season and leads the team with a 74.70 stroke average. Sumner and Le will be joined by senior Kyleigh Moreno, sophomore Chloe Wong and freshman Sarah Busey to form the Broncos team. Click here to view 2017-18 Santa Clara team and individual stats.

Louisville is the highest ranked team at No. 29. Oregon State (54), Long Beach State (64), UC Davis (80), Idaho (82), Hawai'i (95) and Cal Poly (96) are also competing. The Broncos enter the tournament ranked No. 106.

"As long as we commit to the process we will play well," Kelly said.
