Two Women's Golfers Make WCC All-Academic Team

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Santa Clara's Chloe Wong and Kristin Le were among the seven student-athletes named to the 2017-18 WCC Women's Golf All-Academic team.

Wong and Le helped lead the team to two titles this season while continuing their impressive performances in the classroom.

Le, a senior, possesses a 3.53 GPA in accounting, and Wong, a sophomore, maintains a 3.56 grade-point average in biology.

Le, who also earned a spot on the 2016-17 and 2015-16 WCC All-Academic teams, played in all 10 events, finishing in the top 10 six times, including a victory, the third of her career, at The Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate (Sept. 29-31). She posted a team-best stoke average of 74.66 this season.

Wong was in the top 20 in five of her 10 events, including a season-best third-place showing at the Battle at Old Works (Sept. 11-12) where she posted a 2-over 218, including a career-best 71 in the second round.

To be considered for the league academic honors, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.
