A second-year member of the program ... has appeared in 17 career events with a scoring average of 75.00 and eight top 20 finishes, including five top 10 ... has seven rounds under par and four at par.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2018-19): A first-team All-West Coast Conference choice ... competed in all 10 events ... posted five top 10 finishes … had a 73.97 scoring average, second best on the team … led the Broncos to a first-place finish in the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational (Oct. 15-16), posting a collegiate-best tie for sixth place with 4-over 220 (74-77-69) ... shot a collegiate-best 68 in the second round of the UC Irvine Invitational (Oct. 29-30) ... finished as the top individual for the Broncos at the Nittany Lion Invitational (Sept. 22-23) and the BYU at Entrada Classic (March 11-12) … tied for a sixth-place showing at the Fresno State Classic (April 1-2), shooting even-par 216 (75-70-71).

AS A FRESHMAN (2017-18): Played in seven events … ended the season with a 76.50 scoring average, third on the team … finished tied for 11th at the Cal Poly Invitational (Oct. 28-29) shooting an 11-over 155 … scored a career-low of 71 in the third round of the BYU Entrada Classic (March 12-13), finishing tied for 23rd with 8-over 224 … finished in 22nd at the WCC Championship (April 16-18).

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Foothill High School in Tustin, California … four-year member of Century/Crestview League Champion team … qualified for third round CIF junior and senior year … made all-conference and was nominated for conference MVP her senior year … a first-team all-county performer as a senior and second-team as a freshman … played club for American Junior Golf Association … finished first at the 2015 Jr. Girl’s Qualifier … in 2016, tied for eighth at the USGA Women’s 4-Ball qualifying in Spring Valley with a score of 72 … also finished first at the 2017 SCGA Indian Wells Tournament … qualified for the 2017 Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) Amateur Championship.

PERSONAL: Born in Orange, California, and now resides in Tustin, California… parents are Scott and Judith Sumner … father is a civil engineer … has a younger sister, Elise … cousin, Walter Sumner, played football for Florida State and then for the Cleveland Browns in the 1970’s … suffered from a rare lung disease at the age of 15, but fought her way back to continue playing golf … was a member of the California Scholarship Federation and the National Honor Society in high school … did a lot of volunteer work in high school, including raising money to teach at-risk youth golf for the Southern California Golf Association and raising money for her lung disease and medical research to go along with it … hopes to one day become a pediatric anesthesiologist … hobbies include reading, spending time with family, going to the gym, and movies.
