Student-Athlete Spotlight: Sarah Busey

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Sarah Busey brought home First Team All-West Coast Conference honors as a sophomore in 2019 after competing in all 10 of women's golf's events and posting six top 10 finishes. In all, she has appeared in 22 events and has a 75.08 scoring average and 10 top 10 finishes.

Favorite memory as a Bronco thus far?
My parents travel from Wisconsin every time we play. I love seeing them on the first tee at every tournament, ready to walk along as we compete. 

Why SCU?
Santa Clara challenges me both academically and athletically and I really like Coach Kelly's individualized approach.

Favorite class at SCU so far?
It's a tie. My Financial Management course because it helped me realize I wanted to be a finance major and Jazz Dance 1 because Professor Kanter was an amazingly kind professor and did such a great job balancing fun with learning. 

Biggest inspiration?
Paula Creamer.

First celebrity crush?
Channing Tatum.

Favorite meal?
A steak filet from LB with mashed potatoes and bearnaise sauce on the side.

Hobbies outside of sports?
Making healthy meals and working on arts and crafts projects.
