Women's Golf Tied For Fifth After 18 Holes of Season-Opening Tournament

COUEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - Santa Clara women's golf is in a tie for fifth with Sacramento State after 36 holes of the Coeur d'Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational.

The Broncos carded a 13-over 297 on Sunday, placing them seven strokes off the lead at the 17-team event.

Claire Choi and Borina Sutikto each shot 2-over 73 for Santa Clara, sitting in an eight-way tie for 12th place. Inara Sharma is two shots back of that duo in a tie for 27th. Marie Jordaan also reached the scoring column for the team with a 5-over 76. She is tied for 34th. Madison Spiess, shot an 80, to round out the Santa Clara entries in the three-day event at Coeur d' Alene Golf Course.

Hawaii leads the field with a 6-over total of 290, three shots ahead of both Oral Roberts and host Gonzaga.

Millburn Ho of Florida International, Hyeonji Kang of Hawaii and Rivekka Jumagulova of Seattle are in a three-way tie for first at 1-under on the individual leaderboard.
