Women's Golf One Shot Off Lead at Coeur d’Alene Resort Collegiate Invite

COUEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - Santa Clara women's golf is one shot off the lead after 36 holes at the Coeur d'Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational.

The Broncos fired a second-round, 6-over 290 on Monday to move from a tie for fifth into third, just one back of the lead at 13-over 587.

Oral Roberts and Sacramento State share first atop the 17-team leaderboard at 12-over 586 in three-day event that is being held at Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course. Santa Clara's second-round total trailed only Sacramento State's 5-over 289.

Borina Sutikto and Inara Sharma paced the Broncos, each firing even-par 71. Only four players, including second-round leader Jennifer Koga of Sacramento State, posted better scores. Koga leads the field at even-par 142 (75-67). She is two shots ahead of Sutikto who is tied for sixth at 2-over 144.

Sharma is tied for 10th at 4-over 146 and she is followed by teammate Claire Choi who is tied for 16th at 6-over 148 (73-75).

Madison Spiess is tied for 48th at 11-over 153, but her second-round 73 was third-best among the Santa Clara team.

Marie Jordaan is also tied for 48th with rounds of 76-77.
