Women's Golf Climbs Two Spots On Final Day Of Coeur d'Alene Collegiate

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - Santa Clara women's golf put together their best team round of the three-day Coeur d'Alene Collegiate on Tuesday, carding a 9-over 293 in the final round to finish the tournament tied for 14th. 

The Broncos' 293 was tied for the seventh-lowest round on a day in which no team shot better than 2-over. Inara Sharma had SCU's lowest round of the day with at 1-under 70. She rolled in five birdies as part of the round and vaulted 31 spots in the individual rankings to finish tied for 50th at 12-over 75-80-70--225. 

Claire Choi (10-over 73-75-75--223) was Santa Clara's top individual with a tie for 42nd while Borina Sutikto was right on her heels with a tie for 45th at 11-over 76-74-74--224). Freshman Audrey Brust (76-82-74--232) had her best round of the tournament at 3-over 74 as she finished tied for 77th with fellow freshman Rachael Wang (78-73-81--232). 

Sacramento State (1-under 284-279-288--851) won the team title as the lone team in the field of 19 to finish under par. Jennifer Koga (Sacramento State) and Kate Villegas (UC Riverside) were co-medalists at 4-under 209.
