WUSA's CyberRays Celebrating SCU Soccer Excellence on Wednesday

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara University's excellence in women's soccer is now being recognized in the professional arena of the Women's United Soccer Association, the first professional soccer organization for women in the United States. Santa Clara students, faculty and staff have been invited to attend Wednesday's night's 7 p.m. match between the Bay Area CyberRays and Philadelphia Charge at Spartan Stadium at a special discount rate of just $11 per ticket.

Five of the 14 Broncos that are currently playing in the WUSA will be featured in Wednesday's match. Playing for the CyberRays will be 1999 Women's World Cup standout Brandi Chastain, 2001 alumna Megan Horvath, 2000 graduate Jacqui Little and from the Class of `99, Lisa Naņez. The Charge will feature the 1999 college player of the year Mandy Clemens.

For those who cannot attend the match, the contest will air live on KICU Channel 36. The halftime feature highlights the four SCU graduates on the CyberRays roster.
