Women's Soccer Falls to Saint Mary's 4-2

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Saint Mary's Lucianne Crenshaw scored all four goals for the Gaels this afternoon in a 4-2 victory over 15th-ranked Santa Clara in continuing West Coast Conference action at Buck Shaw Stadium.

Santa Clara falls to 10-5-1 overall, 2-2-0 in the WCC, while the Gaels improve to 11-4-2 on the season, 4-0-0 in league action.

Crenshaw first scored at 27:27, but Santa Clara responded 26 seconds later, with Megan Horvath posting her fifth goal on the season at the 27:53 mark.

In the second half, Crenshaw added goals during the 55th and 74th minutes for the hat trick. Santa Clara's Heather Aldama responded with a goal four minutes later, but Crenshaw's fourth score of the afternoon at the 83rd minute sealed the victory.

Santa Clara travels north to San Francisco for a Friday, Oct. 27 match against USF, beginning at 4 p.m. The Broncos then return home to host Loyola Marymount on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 1 p.m.
