BOCA RATON, Fla. - Five More Bronco Soccer Players Selected by WUSA Teams in Day Two of Draft

Five additional former Bronco women's soccer players were drafted by the newly-formed Women's United Soccer Association this morning in the second and final session of a two-day draft held at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.

With six Broncos drafted in the first eight rounds yesterday, one founding member and two allocated selections, Santa Clara now has 14 former players spread over each of the eight WUSA rosters.

Eleven of the 14 Broncos in the league played on the 1996 SCU squad that reached the national semifinals and went 18-4-2 on the year. Additionally, five Broncos were members of the Class of 1999, and reached four straight NCAA semifinals during their careers. They are Kylie Bivens, Mandy Clemens, Jacqui Little, Kimberly Pickup and Nikki Serlenga.

In addition to the Bay Area, the WUSA will launch in April in seven other markets: Atlanta, Carolina, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, San Diego and Washington D.C. The Bay Area CyberRays will have four players from Santa Clara on its roster: Brandi Chastain, Little, Lisa Naņez and Megan Horvath. 1996 SCU teammates Serlenga, Bivens and Dayna Smith will be together again as part of the Atlanta Beat, as Erin Martinez and Kimberly Pickup will on the San Diego Spirit squad.

More information on the WUSA can be found on the league's official website at www.wusaleague.com.
