Bronco Women's Soccer to Host Free Clinics

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara University women's soccer program will host two clinics in late August aimed toward providing information and insight into the Bronco program to area coaches and parents of youth and college players. Both clinics will be free of charge.

On Saturday, August 25, the coaching staff, which consists of head coach Jerry Smith, associate head coach Rich Manning and assistant coach Eric Yamamoto, will conduct a coaches clinic from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. The session will include teaching, coaching and strategy discussions, video sessions and numerous opportunities for interaction with question and answer sessions throughout the day.

On Sunday, August 26, the parent's clinic will be aimed at providing basic information on the game of soccer as well as insight into the experiences of a college soccer player. There will be discussion of the role of the parents and coaches and will cover the basics of college recruiting. The session will last from 1-5 p.m. and will include a Santa Clara practice session.
