SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara University women's soccer seniors Aly Wagner and Devvyn Hawkins, along with sophomores Megan Kakadelas and Leslie Osborne, earned All-West Region honors by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Wagner, a first-team selection from San Jose, was the NSCAA Player of the Year last season. She scored nine goals and nine assists this season, despite missing eight games while helping the U.S. National Team secure a spot in the 2003 World Cup.

Hawkins, of Olympia, Wash., was the first of three Broncos to earn second-team honors. The midfielder scored the Broncos' lone goal in the NCAA Championship game on Sunday, marking her third goal of the tournament.

Kakadelas, a sophomore forward from Carlsbad, led the team in assists this past season, with 14. Osborne, a sophomore forward hailing from Menomonee Falls, Wis., led the team in points, with 10 goals and 11 assists on the year.

All four were also All-West Coast Conference selections.

The Broncos finished their 2002 campaign with a 20-5-1 overall record, advancing to their ninth overall College Cup this past weekend. Santa Clara fell to WCC rival Portland in the championship match, 2-1 in double overtime.
