The Santa Clara University women's soccer program is set to host the second annual Celebrity Auction Casino Night on Friday, May 7 at the Leavey Center. Headlining the evening will be the women's soccer team, head coach Jerry Smith and Bronco alumna.

The Auction-Casino will have a theme of "Black Tie with a Bronco Twist" and dressing the part is highly recommended.

"Last year was the inaugural year for our Casino Night and it was so much fun for everyone that we decided to turn it into an annual event," Smith said. "This year, our goal is to raise more money and have even more fun than we did last year."

Although the night begins at 6 p.m., a free kids hour will start at 5 p.m., and will consist of the team and other celebrities available for signing autographs. T-shirts and other accessories will be available for purchase to have signed. At 6 p.m., anyone under the age of 18 will be asked to leave, as alcohol is being served to those 21 and older. The evening will include jazz music, a speech by Smith, and other entertainment. The tables will then open and the night of gambling and bidding on silent auctions will begin. Later in the evening, a few special items will be auctioned live.

Items include signed sports memorabilia from the San Jose Sharks and Earthquakes, Oakland As and Raiders, and the CyberRays, as well as weekend getaways, vintage wines and more.

Funds raised will be used for team building activities and trips for the spring and fall seasons.

Please Click Here for information on how you can contribute to the success of this year's event. Tickets for the evening can be purchased at the door for $40, or ahead of time for $30. Appropriate snacks and beverages will be served, and there is no assigned seating.

Please contact assistant coach Mike Smith if you plan to attend, know of any one else who would like to attend, or if you have any further questions. Smith can be reached by email at mhsmith@scu.edu and by phone at 408-554-4624.

We hope to see you there!
