Aug. 13, 2004

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Santa Clara University senior midfielder Leslie Osborne continues to add to her impressive list of individual honors as she was named to the 12 member Soccer Buzz 2004 Preseason All-America Team, the women's soccer publication announced recently. Osborne, a native of Menomonee Falls, Wis., was earlier named to the preseason watch list for the Missouri Athletic Club's Hermann Trophy and was last season's West Coast Conference Player of the Year. She is currently with her Bronco mates on a team preseason trip to Costa Rica. Santa Clara opens its season August 27 for a single match on the road at Cal Poly, which begins a string of seven-straight matches away from home to begin the year. The home opener is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 24 when the Broncos host Marquette in the annual adidas Classic. Season tickets and affordable family plans for the upcoming season are available by calling 408/554-4660 or by clicking here. A team captain and one of only three players last season that started all 24 contests for the Broncos, Osborne is actively involved with the U.S. National Team and was a finalist for U.S. Soccer's 2003 Chevrolet Young Female Athlete of the Year.
