Head Coach Jerry Smith, on today's game:
"I'm proud of how my players started off the game today. They came out with their best start of the season. Missouri also played well and we just made one mistake in the back and they capitalized on it. This was the second time we gave up the first goal in the past two games. But after that we created a lot of opportunities to score and Courtney Lewis came up strong to tie the score."
On the tournament:
"We played two physically tough teams that used a lot of subs. But the players we have did what they needed to do and they grinded out wins against two quality teams."
On the second half and Tina Estrada's goal:
"We didn't come out as strong as we would have like in the second half, but we were still able to create good chances on goal like Tina's shot. It was a left footed strike that bounced off the post into the back of the net."
On next weekend's trip to Arizona:
"There is going to be additional adversity that we will have to deal with next weekend since it is officially our first weekend as the visitor. Also, it is the first road trip, classes do start this week and when we'll be playing in the desert so it is going to be tough."
