Head Coach Jerry Smith
On being able to rest his starters:
"After earning a 2-0 lead, we took advantage of our substitutes. It was the first tim all season that we were afforded that opportunity and it may have effected the outcome of the match, but it definitely will make us a lot fresher for Sunday's game against San Diego."

More on today's match:
"We had three things we wanted to accomplish going into today's game and we accomplished all three. First, we wanted to get out of the game with no injuries and we did. Second, we wanted to be able to rest our starters and for the most part, except for our goalkeeper and center backs, we did. And lastly, we wanted to win and we were able to do that as well."

On Sunday's game against the No. 16 Toreros:
"San Diego is going to be very well-rested team because they have not played a game in six days. Actually a lot of the conference teams are only playing one game this weekend and that's there conference opener. We took a risk playing today, but we did the same thing a few years ago. We played Fullerton on the Friday night before opening WCC play against San Diego, and we played well in both games and came out with a 3-0 win over San Diego."
