Head Coach Jerry Smith, on the game: "We played a hard fought game. It was a fairly even game until late in the second half when USC scored the game-winning goal."
Smith, on USC's game-winning goal: "The winning goal was unfortunate, after we had played so well the entire game. Once the defense cleared the ball they did not realize that Kiki [Bosio] was down and leaving USC onsides closer to the goal."
Smith, on facing No. 21 Cal State Fullerton on Sunday: "Fullerton is a very talented top-25 squad. We played well today, so hopefully we can build upon today and see some good results at Fullerton."
