SANTA CLARA, Calif. - It might be finals week on the Mission Campus, but there is still plenty going on in Bronco Athletics! In this week's edition of the Bronco Weekly Sports Wrap co-hosts John Nash and Lauren Matheson get you the latest news from around the Santa Clara athletic department.
Nash and Matheson talk about the latest on the men's basketball team who will compete in the College Basketball Invitational. The Broncos' first game of the 16-team tournament is set for Tues., March 19 at 7 p.m. Santa Clara has played in the postseason two out of the last three years. Also, Nash and Matheson hear from EYEBRONCO reporter and sophomore guard Denzel Johnson who caught up with his senior teammate Raymond Cowels III about playing in the CBI.
Matheson sat down with Morgan Malborough of the women's soccer team who just returned from Spain after playing with the U-23 United States national team along side fellow Bronco Julie Johnston. Malborough and the rest of the women's soccer team is preparing for their spring schedule, which begins Sun., Apr. 7 with a home match against Cal.
Finally, EYEBRONCO reporter Jessica Shusko recaps other sports around the Mission campus.
