PERSONAL: Daughter of Rick and Yvonne...father is a roofing contractor…mother is a homemaker…has one sister, Nikki who currently plays on Santa Clara’s soccer team…born in Vancouver BC, Canada…enjoys soccer, basketball, volleyball, web design and shopping…goal is to own her own business and/or pursue a career in finance… She will be studying in the School of Business.

Why Brittany chose Santa Clara: “When I was examining my post-secondary options, my family and teachers encouraged me to take my time and consider all the possibilities. While I visited several schools and was impressed by the merits of each, none really excited me the way Santa Clara did. Santa Clara’s academic reputation, coupled with a nationally ranked soccer program, put SCU at the top of my list. I want to earn my degree from a respected school, but didn’t want to just make a ‘sensible choice.’ I’ve been to the University several times and each visit was a great experience. The school and the community spirit is contagious. My sister, Nikki, is a student-athlete at SCU (women’s soccer), and she and her ‘second family’ have made me feel welcome. I love playing soccer, and the enthusiasm shown by Bronco players and coaches convinced me that I wanted Santa Clara to be my home for the next four years.”

Head coach Jerry Smith on Brittany: "Brittany will assimilate very quickly into our program as her sister, Nikki, is currently in her second year with us. This will allow Brittany to gain a heads start on how things run here.  Brittany is a tough-minded, hard-working, goal scoring forward which are all welcomed additions to our team.  Like the Canadian that she is, she plays in front of the net much the same way a hockey player would and is fearless in going after goal scoring opportunities."
