A New Home for Roering

Coming all the way from Minnesota, incoming freshman Jenna Roering (JR) is thrilled for her first collegiate season for the women's soccer team. Santa Clara Broncos (SCB) got to check in with Roering and see what she is up to.

SCB: How's your summer going?

JR: My summer is going really well, I've mainly been focusing on soccer and training hard for the upcoming season.

SCB: How is your experience at Santa Clara so far?

JR: So far my experience here has been really great, there is so much to do in this area and the campus is beautiful! I've enjoyed hanging out with the soccer team and meeting new people.

SCB: Out of the entire new freshman you are the farthest away from home (Minnesota), how is that adjusting to a new home?

JR: I adjusted pretty quickly, the weather is a lot nicer and everyone has been so welcoming. I think it will be an easy transition overall.

SCB: Anything you're looking forward to?

JR: I'm looking forward to my whole year at Santa Clara and meeting lots of new people. But I'm especially looking forward to the soccer season this fall! I'm hoping we can make it a great year, and go to the NCAA tournament!

SCB: Is there anyone on the team who has shown you the ropes and given you great pointers?

JR: The whole team has been very helpful with welcoming me to the team, living with Sofia, Katie and Kat this last week has been great, and they have made moving out here so much easier and fun!
