Meet the Future of Bronco Women's Soccer: Jenna Holtz

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Getting set to welcome the next wave of Broncos to the Mission campus, Santa Clara women's soccer welcomes Jenna Holtz in the signing class of 2014. Holtz is from Tacoma, Wash. and attended Bellarmine Preparatory School.

"I chose Santa Clara because they have a gorgeous campus and great location," said Holtz. "Santa Clara also has strong academics and a terrific soccer program."

"Jenna is a connecting midfielder that is very good at possession," said Santa Clara head coach Jerry Smith. "She is a playmaking midfielder along the lines of Julie Vass. I know Jenna will be a great player for us going forward in our center midfield position."

Holtz played high school soccer as a freshman and a sophomore where she led her team to two league championships and the state finals her sophomore year. As a sophomore Holtz was named First Team All-Narrows and was given the Athletic Achievement Award. As a freshman she was Second Team All-Narrows.

Her club team was a 2012-13 ECNL Champions League national championship qualifier. They were 2011 state champions and went to the Far-West Regional semifinals. She was also named ECNL All-Tournament Team in Texas.

Holtz has been a member of Operation Keep 'Em Warm and Fed, Paint Tacoma Beautiful, Phoenix Housing, Top Soccer, and Coffee House.

In her free time she enjoys playing guitar and reading.
