Regular Season Wraps Up for Women's Soccer Saturday at San Francisco

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – In the final game of the regular season, Santa Clara women's soccer travels to San Francisco to take on the Dons Saturday at 7 p.m. The Broncos are in a battle for positioning in the tightly-grouped West Coast Conference standings.

Santa Clara is 30-1-1 all-time against San Francisco. Last season the Dons picked up their lone win over the Broncos 1-0 at Stevens Stadium. The last game on the Hilltop was in 2014 and Santa Clara came away with a 1-0 win in double overtime.

Last week the Broncos beat Gonzaga 2-0 and Portland 1-0 to put themselves on pace to head back to the NAA Tournament.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (8-6-4, 5-2-1) has outscored opponents 21-16 this season and holds a 102-80 edge in shots on goal.

Jordan Jesolva leads the team in goals (6), assists (4), and points (16). Maddie Gonzalez and Jenna Roering are tied for second with three goals each while Gonzalez and Machaela George are tied for second with two assists. Three other Broncos have scored two goals each and three others have added one apiece.

Melissa Lowder has allowed 12 goals in 15 games and has a 0.79 GAA. She has made 46 saves for a .793 save percentage and has six shutouts. Courtney Ogren has added one shutout to give Santa Clara seven on the year.

THE DONS
San Francisco (7-11, 3-5) won its last game over Gonzaga 2-1 but fell to Portland 1-0 earlier in the week.

The Dons have been outscored 31-19 on the season and outshot 266-178. Their opponents have put 127 shots on goal to San Francisco's 70.

Amanda White leads the team with six assists and 16 points and is tied for the team-lead with five goals. Sonja Giraud is tied with White with five goals and has added an assist. Two players have two goals each and five have one apiece. Jessica Nakae has three assists and five others have at least one.

Makayla Presgrave has started 16 games and allowed 30 goals for a 1.90 GAA. She has made 81 saves for a .730 save percentage and has one shutout. The Dons as a team have picked up two shutouts on the year.
