Jesolva and Arnardottir Earn All-West Region Accolades

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Coming off a trip to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament, a pair of Santa Clara women's soccer players were honored on the NSCAA All-West Region teams. Senior Jordan Jesolva was named to the first team while sophomore Gudrun Arnardottir was a third team honoree.

Jesolva led the Broncos with 10 goals and four assists while amassing 24 points. She scored the game-winner in two of the three NCAA Tournament wins for Santa Clara on the season. She was named First Team All-WCC in November.

Arnardottir, the WCC Freshman of the Year, started all 23 games for the Broncos. She scored one goal on the year, the overtime game-winner at LMU. Arnardottir was a key part of a back line that didn't allow more than two goals all season and allowed just one goal in four NCAA Tournament matches.

The Broncos finished the season No. 17 in the final NSCAA Coaches' Poll of the year. They finished the season with nine matches against ranked teams and went 3-4-2 in those outings. They also went 5-4-4 against teams that made the NCAA Tournament, including a season-opening over eventual national champion USC.
