Seven Women's Soccer Players Honored on WCC All-Academic Team

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Santa Clara women's soccer had seven players honored for their work in the classroom on the WCC All-Academic Team as announced by the league office Wednesday.

Junior Gudrun Arnardottir (3.75 GPA) and senior Kat Uhl (3.92) were both named to the WCC All-Academic team with seniors Hailai Arghandiwal and Kellie Peay, junior Melissa Lowder, and sophomores Natalie Kennedy and Delaney Baie Pridham taking home honorable mention. Both Arnardottir and Uhl were named CoSIDA Academic All-District last week.

This season, 20 student-athletes posted a GPA of 3.75 or better, with Kennedy being one of three with a 4.0. In total, 47 honorees turned in GPA's above a 3.50.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average while also being a significant contributor to her team.
