Meet the Future of Santa Clara Women's Soccer: Skylar Smith

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's soccer will welcome Skylar Smith of Coto de Caza, Calif. to the 2018 roster.

Smith attended Tesoro High School where she won three letters in soccer and two in track and field.

As a sophomore and junior, Smith was a team captain as well as being all-city and was named all-conference in each of her first three years. As a sophomore, she was team MVP, all-district, all-region, all-state, and All-America.

Smith has taken worked with the US Training Center and was an ECNL national champion in 2015. She was also a national champion and captain with the ODP in 2015 and 2016 while being named All-Tournament ODP Team both years. In 2015, she attended the PUMA Women's Elite Showcase in Orlando, Florida.

In the classroom, Smith was a member of the National Honor Society two years in a row and won the Spirit of the Titan Award in 2017 while graduating in the top 15-percent of her class.

She played club soccer for the SoCal Blues.

Smith plans to major in Marketing. She enjoys spending time with her family, hanging out with her friends, going to the beach, and playing with her four puppies.
