No. 12 Women's Soccer Welcomes North Texas Monday Night

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – After an impressive opening week of action, No. 12 Santa Clara women's soccer returns to the pitch Monday at 7:30 p.m. against North Texas.

The Broncos opened the season with a 2-1 win at San Jose State before taking care of Cal 4-1 Monday in the home-opener.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (2-0) has outscored its opponents 6-2 so far this year and hold a 35-8 edge in shots. The Broncos also hold a 15-3 lead in shots on goal.

Maddy Gonzalez is tied for sixth in the nation with three goals and Maria Sanchez is tops in the country with five assists. DB Pridham has a goal and an assist while Kelsey Turnbow and Kelcie Hedge each have found the back of the net once.

Melissa Lowder has faced just two shots in net and made one save while starting both games in net.

THE MEAN GREEN
North Texas (2-0-1) has outscored its opponents 8-1 on the season and hold a 73-39 advantage in shots.

Aaliyah Nolan leads the team with three goals while Taylor Torres and Elle Marie DeFrain each have scored twice and Olivia Klein has added one goal. Six different players have one assist apiece.

Kelsey Brann has started all three games and allowed one goal for a 0.37 GAA. She has 11 saves and a .917 save percentage.

Parking: For weekday matches, the Leavey Center lot, located on Accolti Way off El Camino Real, is free beginning one hour prior to kickoff. Any other parking facility on campus will be subject to normal daily rates or restrictions, including the main structure, located adjacent to Stevens Stadium on Palm Drive.
