Homestand Concludes for No. 9 Women's Soccer Thursday Against Kansas State

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – After moving into the top-10 in the most recent United Soccer Coaches poll, No. 9 Santa Clara women's soccer wraps-up its three-game homestand with Kansas State Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

On Monday, the Broncos took down North Texas 1-0 in a tough, physical game.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (3-0) leads the West Coast Conference in goals per game (2.3) and assists per game (2.0) while allowing the second fewest goals per game (0.7) in the conference. The Broncos have outscored opponents 7-2 and hold a 50-10 advantage in shots and a 19-3 edge in shots on goal.

Maria Sanchez leads the team with seven points and is tied for second in the country with five assists. Maddy Gonzalez is second in the league with three goals while three other Broncos have scored once each.

Melissa Lowder has allowed one goal in three games for a 0.37 GAA and has had to make just one save on the year.

THE WILDCATS
Kansas State (3-0) has not allowed a goal on the season, outscoring opponents 6-0. The Wildcats have a 50-20 edge in shots and a 28-9 lead in shots on goal.

Katie Cramer leads the team with two goals and five points and is tied for the team lead with one assist. Four other Wildcats have scored once each and two had added an assist apiece.

In net, Emma Malsy has played every minute and made nine saves.
