No. 12 Women's Soccer Hosts Notre Dame Sunday at Noon

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Coming off a win over the second-ranked team in the country, No. 12 Santa Clara women's soccer is right back at it Sunday at noon against Notre Dame. The game was originally scheduled for 1 p.m. but was moved to accommodate the Irish's travel.

Friday night, the Broncos topped No. 2 North Carolina 1-0 in a thriller at Stevens Stadium. It was the Broncos fifth win in the last seven tries against the Tar Heels.

SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 6-14-2 all-time against Notre Dame with the first meeting coming in 195. The last meeting was 4-1 Irish win in South Ben last year.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (5-1) has outscored its opponents 10-6 on the year and have posted clean sheets in three of the last five games.

Maria Sanchez leads the team with five assists, tops in the conference, and nine points, good for second in the WCC and her 1.5 points per game leads the league. Maddy Gonzalez has scored a team-high three goals with Kelsey Turnbow adding two. DB Pridham has scored once and added two assists.

Melissa Lowder has started all six games in net and allowed five goals for a 0.92 GAA. She has 20 saves and a .800 save percentage to go with three shutouts.

THE IRISH
Notre Dame (4-3) has lost two in a row and three of four after starting the season 3-0. The Irish have been outscored 11-10 on the year but have a 117-78 lead in shots and a 45-38 edge in shots on goal.

Jen Westendorf is tied for the team-lead with five points behind a team-high three assists and one goal. Karin Muya also has five points thanks to two goals, tied for the team-lead, and an assist. Eva Hurm and Olivia Wingate have both added two goals.

Brooke Littman has plated four games in net with Mattie Interian playing three. Littman has allowed five goals and made 14 saves while Interian has allowed six goals and made 12 saves.

Any other parking facility on campus will be subject to normal daily rates or restrictions, including the main structure, located adjacent to Stevens Stadium on Palm Drive.
