No. 7 Women's Soccer Concludes Homestand with TCU Thursday

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Coming off an impressive weekend at home, No. 7 Santa Clara women's soccer hosts TCU Thursday at 7:30 p.m. to close out a three-match homestand.

The Broncos took care of business at home last week, topping No. 2 North Carolina 1-0 on Friday and Notre Dame 3-2 Sunday.

The wins pushed them up five spots in the rankings to seventh, the biggest jump in the country.

SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 1-0 all-time against TCU with the only meeting coming in 2003 when the Broncos the Horned Frogs 1-0 at the Stanford Classic.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (6-1) has its most wins through the first seven matches of a season since 2007 when the Broncos started 7-0-1. They have outscored opponents 13-8 and have a 108-70 edge in shots while putting 42 on frame.

Maria Sanchez leads the conference with 11 points behind a league-leading five assists and a team-high tying three goals. Maddy Gonzalez and Kelsey Turnbow have both scored three goals as well with Gonzalez adding an assists. DB Pridham has two assists and a goal while three others have scored once each.

Melissa Lowder has started all seven games in net while allowing seven goals and making 24 saves. She has three shutouts on the year.

THE HORNED FROGS
TCU (6-0-1) has allowed just two goals on the year, both in the same match, and has scored 15 while holding a 137-45 edge in shots and a 61-22 lead in shots on goal.

Maddy Warren leads the team with four goals and nine points. Kayla Hill has two goals and Chaylyn Hubbard has a team-high two assists. Nine other Horned Frogs have scored once apiece.

Emily Alvarado has played in three games and made eight saves without allowing a goal. Katie Lund has appeared in five matches and allowed two goals while making 12 saves.

Parking: For weekday matches, the Leavey Center lot, located on Accolti Way off El Camino Real, is free beginning one hour prior to kickoff. Any other parking facility on campus will be subject to normal daily rates or restrictions, including the main structure, located adjacent to Stevens Stadium on Palm Drive.
