No. 7 Women's Soccer Returns Home Sunday to Take on Saint Mary's

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – As part of Grand Reunion weekend, No. 7 Santa Clara women's soccer returns home have three weeks on the road to take on Saint Mary's Sunday at 1 p.m. in the DICK'S Sporting Goods Conference Home Opener.

The Broncos won at LMU 3-2 on Friday but fell at Pepperdine 1-0 to see their eight match unbeaten streak come to an end.

SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 33-3-5 all-time against Saint Mary's with the first meeting coming in 1981. Last year the Bronco won 6-1 in Moraga and is 14-0-3 in the last 17 meetings going back to 2001.

THE BRONOCS
Santa Clara (11-2-1, 2-1 WCC) is second in the West Coast Conference with 30 goals scored while allowing 15. The Broncos have put 99 of their 221 shots on frame while allowing 140 shots.

Maddy Gonzalez leads the team with seven goals and 16 points. Kelsey Turnbow has scored four times with four assists while Skylar Smith has found the back of the net five times. Kelcie Hedge has also scored four times on the year. Maria Sanchez is tied for the conference lead with eight assists and has scored four goals for 16 points but is still away with the Mexican National Team.

Melissa Lowder has allowed 13 goals while starting all 14 games for a 1.01 GAA. She has made 48 saves and has a .787 save percentage to go with five shutouts.

THE GAELS
Saint Mary's (6-6-2, 1-2-1 WCC) has been outscored on the year 19-13 and outshot 182-129 with an 82-54 deficit in shots on goal.

Jordyn Cunningham leads the Gaels with four goals and has one assist for nine points. Jaylen Crim also has nine points behind a team-high five assists while adding two goals. Anyssa Dominguez has scored twice with two assists and five others have one goal each.

Maleah Milner has played in 14 games and allowed 18 goals for a 1.29 GAA. She has 58 saves and a .763 save percentage with four shutouts.

Parking: For weekday matches, the Leavey Center lot, located on Accolti Way off El Camino Real, is free beginning one hour prior to kickoff. Any other parking facility on campus will be subject to normal daily rates or restrictions, including the main structure, located adjacent to Stevens Stadium on Palm Drive.
