Regular Season Concludes for No. 5 Women's Soccer Saturday with Senior Day Against Pacific

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The regular season concludes for No. 5 Santa Clara women's soccer Saturday at 1 p.m. against Pacific for Senior Day. The Broncos will honor seniors Melissa Lowder, Maria Sanchez, Briar Blake, and Duffy Moyer in a pregame ceremony.

Last week on the road, the Broncos topped San Diego 2-1 in overtime but fell to BYU 2-0.

SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 11-0 all-time against Pacific with the first meeting coming in 1981. Since the Tigers joined the WCC, the Broncos have outscored them 13-1 in five matches.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (15-3-1, 6-2 WCC) has scored 40 goals on the year, second most in the WCC, while putting 144 of its 313 shots on target.

Sanchez is second in the conference and tied for ninth nationally with 10 assists. She is the first Bronco with double-digit assists since Megan Kakadelas had 14 in 2002. Kelcie Hedge and Maddy Gonzalez are tied for the team lead with seven goals each and Kelsey Turnbow and Skylar Smith have each scored six times. Turnbow is second on the team with five assists and Sanchez has five goals.

Melissa Lowder has allowed 18 goals for a 1.06 GAA and has 64 saves for a .780 save percentage. She has six clean sheets this season.

THE TIGERS
Pacific (2-15, 0-8 WCC) has lost 12 in a row and has been outscored on the season 43-13 and outshot 305-206.

Kendall Bietsch leads the team with five goals and 10 points. Sigrid Aas is the only other Tiger with multiple goals, she has two, while Isabella Pariente and Abigail Wolf are tied for the team lead with two assists each.

Regan Heslop has played every minute in net and allowed 43 goals for a 2.47 GAA. She has 100 saves and a .699 save percentage.

Parking: For weekday matches, the Leavey Center lot, located on Accolti Way off El Camino Real, is free beginning one hour prior to kickoff. Any other parking facility on campus will be subject to normal daily rates or restrictions, including the main structure, located adjacent to Stevens Stadium on Palm Drive.
