Kennedy Named WCC All-Academic, Six Other Women's Soccer Players Honored

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Santa Clara women's soccer had seven players honored for their work in the classroom by the West Coast Conference Wednesday with Natalie Kennedy being named WCC All-Academic.

Kelcie Hedge, Sofia Jones, Melissa Lowder, Gabbie McWilliams, DB Pridham, and Kelsey Turnbow were also recognized, being named honorable mention.

Kennedy, a junior, has a 3.99 GPA as a Public Health Science major. She appeared in 15 games this year while scoring three goals and adding an assist. Last season Kennedy was honorable mention.

Hedge, a junior, has a 3.39 GPA and is majoring in Communication. She was recently named a semifinalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy after bringing home WCC Player of the Year honors and being named First Team All-West Region.

Jones, a sophomore, is majoring in Engineering with a 3.86 GPA. She started all 22 games this year on the back line.

Lowder, a senior, has a 3.59 GPA in Communications. She finished the year with six shutouts and a .785 save percentage. This is her third time being named honorable mention.

McWilliams, a sophomore, is a Biology major with a 3.58 GPA. She appeared in 17 games and made six starts this season.

Pridham, a junior, has a 3.48 GPA in Political Science. She appeared in all 22 games and made six starts while scoring three goals and adding two assists. This is the second year in a row she was honorable mention.

Turnbow, a sophomore, maintains a 3.38 GPA as a Finance major. She finished tied for third on the team with seven goals and second with seven assists and 21 points. She was First Team All-WCC.
