Women's Soccer Concludes Homestand with Arizona Friday

SANTA CLARA, Calif.– After a pair of impressive wins, Santa Clara women's soccer hosts Arizona Friday at 7:30 p.m. to close a three-game homestand. The team's are No. 22 and. No. 12 in the All White Kit RPI.

The Broncos opened last week with a 2-0 win over No. 2 UCLA Thursday before a 5-0 win over Utah Valley Sunday.

SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 1-3 all-time against Arizona with the first meeting coming in 2007. The last match was a 2-1 Wildcats win at Stanford in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (3-3) has outscored its opponents 16-9 on the year and has a 96-53 advantage in shots. The Broncos also lead 50-30 in shots on goal and have earned 47 corners while surrendering just 15. They lead the WCC in goals (16), assists (19), and points (51).

Izzy D'Aquila leads the WCC with six goals (14th nationally and third among freshmen) and 14 points. Kelsey Turnbow has a conference-high four assists and is second on the team with three goals and 10 points (second in WCC). Alex Loera has scored twice with two assists and Kelcie Hedge has added three assists with Machaela George and Julie Doyle each picking up two.

Courtney Ogren has picked up 20 saves with one solo shutout and one shared.

THE WILDCATS
Arizona (4-0) has outscored opponents 15-0 on the season with a 75-13 edge in shots and a 31-6 lead in shots on goal.

Brooke Wilson leads the team with four goals and 10 points while Jada Talley, Iliana Hocking, and Madison Goerlinger each adding two goals. Talley leads the team with four assists and trails and is second with eight points.

Kendyll Humphreys and Hope Hisey have both played two games with three saves apiece and two shutouts each.

MATCH PROMOTIONS
It will be Back to School Night. All kids 8th grade and under will receive free admission by showing a school ID, and receive a back to school pack including a folder, pencil, and notepad at the game.

PARKING
For weekday matches, the Leavey Center lot (see below for access), located on Accolti Way off El Camino Real, is free beginning one hour prior to kickoff. Any other parking facility on campus will be subject to normal daily rates or restrictions, including the main structure, located adjacent to Stevens Stadium on Palm Drive. The construction of the Stephen C. and Patricia A. Schott Athletic Excellence Center has necessitated the closure of the main entrance (off Accolti Way) to the Leavey Center parking lot. Access is now ONLY directly from El Camino Real (Route 82). If you are traveling east on El Camino Real, the Leavey lot entrance will be approximately 150 yards on the right (enter through the black iron gate) after you pass the main campus entrance. If you are traveling west on El Camino, make a u-turn at the main campus entrance at Palm Drive/Railroad Ave and follow the same directions.
