No. 24 Women's Soccer Hosts San Diego Saturday

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – No. 24 Santa Clara women's soccer returns to Stevens Stadium to play San Diego Saturday at 1 p.m. during Santa Clara University's Grand Reunion weekend.

The Broncos began the week with a convincing 3-0 win at Pacific on Wednesday.

SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 19-8 all-time against San Diego with the first meeting coming in 1992. Last season the Broncos topped the Toreros 2-1 in overtime on the road.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (7-5-1, 1-0-1 WCC) has outscored its opponents 32-17 on the season while holding a 198-118 edge in shots and an 99-64 lead in shots on target. The Broncos are 23rd in the country in scoring and fourth in assists per game with 2.77.

Izzy D'Aquila leads the team with 10 goals, good four 14th in the nation, second among all freshmen and second in the WCC, and has 22 points, 22nd in the nation. Kelsey Turnbow has scored eight times with a team high eight assists, 11th nationally and first in the conference, and is 16th in the country with 24 points. Kelcie Hedge has added three goals and five assists with Maddy Gonzalez, Alex Loera, and Machaela George all scoring twice each. Julie Doyle has four assists with Loera, Gonzalez, and Kaitlyn Parcell each collecting three.

Courtney Ogren has started every game in net and made 44 saves for a .721 save percentage. She has three solo shutouts and the Broncos have six as a team.

THE TOREROS
San Diego (5-5-1, 1-1 WCC) has outscored its opponents 16-14 on the year despite being outshot 123-117 but has a 60-56 advantage in shots on goal.

Milan Moses leads the team with four goals and eight points. Michaela Foster, Halle Walls, and Bekah Valdez have each scored twice. Foster has a team-high three assists while Jamie Goralski has two in just five games.

Amber Michel has played all but 30 minutes in net and allowed 14 goals. She has 41 saves for a .745 save percentage. San Diego has five shutouts as a team.

PROMOTIONS
Join the Santa Clara women's soccer team in the entrance plaza following the match to receive autographs from your favorite Broncos.

PARKING
For weekday matches, the Leavey Center lot (see below for access), located on Accolti Way off El Camino Real, is free beginning one hour prior to kickoff. Any other parking facility on campus will be subject to normal daily rates or restrictions, including the main structure, located adjacent to Stevens Stadium on Palm Drive. The construction of the Stephen C. and Patricia A. Schott Athletic Excellence Center has necessitated the closure of the main entrance (off Accolti Way) to the Leavey Center parking lot. Access is now ONLY directly from El Camino Real (Route 82). If you are traveling east on El Camino Real, the Leavey lot entrance will be approximately 150 yards on the right (enter through the black iron gate) after you pass the main campus entrance. If you are traveling west on El Camino, make a u-turn at the main campus entrance at Palm Drive/Railroad Ave and follow the same directions.
