Kelsey Turnbow Named West Coast Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week

WCC Release

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Santa Clara junior forward Kelsey Turnbow was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week after helping to lead the Broncos to a pair of big wins.

Turnbow started the week with the second Santa Clara goal in a three-goal second half comeback against Pepperdine. Her shot from outside the box was placed perfectly over the leaping goalkeeper to make it a 3-2 game that the Broncos ended up winning 4-3.

She followed it up Saturday with the lone goal in a 1-0 Santa Clara win at Gonzaga. After a pass into the box was deflected, Turnbow slid into a shot that found the back of the net in the third minute.

The two goals moved Turnbow into the team lead with 11 goals. She also leads the team with nine assists and 31 points.
