No. 20 Women's Soccer Hosts San Francisco Saturday for Senior Day

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – No. 20 Santa Clara women's soccer closes out the regular season with a Senior Day visit from San Francisco Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Broncos will honor seniors Sophie Whitehouse, Courtney Ogren, Kaitlyn Parcell, DB Pridham, Maddy Gonzalez, Machaela George, Audrey Hegardt, Natalie Kennedy, and Kelcie Hedge in a pregame ceremony.

Santa Clara opened the week with a hard earned 2-1 win at Saint Mary's on Wednesday.

SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 33-1-1 all-time against San Francisco with the first meeting coming in 1985. Last year the Broncos topped the Dons 3-2 on the Hilltop. They have won three in a row in the series.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (12-5-2, 6-0-2 WCC) is seventh in the nation with 2.58 goals per game and has outscored opponents 49-22. The Broncos are eighth in the country with 2.63 assists per game and ninth with 7.79 points per game. They also have a 304-172 advantage in shots and a 151-96 edge in shots on goal.

Kelsey Turnbow is 15th in the country with 32 points and 10 assists while placing second on the team with 12 goals. She is three assists away from joining just seven other Broncos with at least 25 career goals and 25 career assists. Izzy D'Aquila is 20th nationally with 13 goals and 31st with 29 points. Kelcie Hedge has scored five goals with seven assists and Maddy Gonzalez has added five goals and four assists. Machaela George and Alex Loera have both scored three times with George picking up six assists and Loera adding three.

Courtney Ogren has started 17 games in net while posting a 1.39 GAA. She has made 59 saves had has a .738 save percentage. Sophie Whithouse has started twice and allowed one goal for a 0.23 GAA. She has made 15 saves and has a .938 save percentage. Ogren and Whitehouse have teamed for nine shutouts.

THE DONS
San Francisco (10-7-2, 3-4-1 WCC) has lost three in a row but is outscoring opponents 39-35 on the season. The Dons have been outshot 273-235 and 134-127 in shots on goal.

Michah Madison leads the team with nine goals and nine assists, fifth and tied for third in the WCC, and has 27 points, fifth in the league. Samantha Jehnings has scored eight times and Ashley Humphrey has scored seven goals. Keely Roy and Sydney Cooper each have four goals with Roy also adding five assists.

Olivia Camera has allowed 27 goals for a 1.54 GAA and has made 83 saves with a .755 save percentage. The Dons have five shutouts.

PARKING
For weekday matches, the Leavey Center lot (see below for access), located on Accolti Way off El Camino Real, is free beginning one hour prior to kickoff. Any other parking facility on campus will be subject to normal daily rates or restrictions, including the main structure, located adjacent to Stevens Stadium on Palm Drive. The construction of the Stephen C. and Patricia A. Schott Athletic Excellence Center has necessitated the closure of the main entrance (off Accolti Way) to the Leavey Center parking lot. Access is now ONLY directly from El Camino Real (Route 82). If you are traveling east on El Camino Real, the Leavey lot entrance will be approximately 150 yards on the right (enter through the black iron gate) after you pass the main campus entrance. If you are traveling west on El Camino, make a u-turn at the main campus entrance at Palm Drive/Railroad Ave and follow the same directions.
