Four Women's Soccer Players Named All-West Region

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Four Santa Clara women's soccer players were named to the All-West Region teams by United Soccer Coaches. Alex Loera and Kelsey Turnbow brought home first team honors with Kelcie Hedge and Izzy D'Aquila being named to the second team.

Loera, the West Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-WCC, started all 22 games that she played in while adding four goals and four assists. It is her second consecutive first team nod.

Turnbow is ninth in the country with 40 points and 18th with 15 goals to go along with 10 assists, 22nd nationally. This is her second straight First Team All-West Region accolade. She was named First Team All-WCC this season.

D'Aquila tied for the team lead with 15 goals, tied for the most in the country among freshmen. She tied Santa Clara's program record for a freshman set in 1993 by Mikka Hansen. D'Aquila scored multiple goals four times this season and added four assists for 32 points, 18th in the nation. She was named the WCC Freshman of the Year and Second Team All-WCC.

Hedge started all 22 matches and scored five times with 10 assists, 22nd in the country. She was a Second Team All-WCC pick this year.
