SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's soccer earned one of 16 national seeds in the NCAA Tournament, the 30th appearance in program history. The 11th seeded Broncos will have a first round bye and face the winner of Ohio State and Stony Brook May 1 at 8 p.m. Eastern. The game will take place on the campus of East Carolina University.
Coming off the 11th West Coast Conference title in program history, the Broncos (7-1, 7-0 WCC) ran the table in league play, becoming the first team since Portland in 2009 to win each league contest.
Santa Clara had to go on the road and get wins at BYU and at Pepperdine, arguably the two most difficult venues in the conference.
