
SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Izzy D'Aquila was named the West Coast Conference Women's Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after scoring a brace against No. 9 Stanford Sunday night in a 2-2 draw at Stevens Stadium.
D'Aquila got the Broncos on the board right away in the second minute. Keren Goor found Colby Barnett who sent a perfect cross right to the head of D'Aquila.

In the 22nd minute, D'Aquila struck again. This time Farrah Walters found Annie Karich who touched a pass to D'Aquila inside the box. D'Aquila turned and hit a perfect shot over the leaping Cardinal keeper.

With her two goals, D'Aquila now leads the team with four goals and 10 points while tying for the team lead with two assists.
Santa Clara returns to the pitch Thursday at 7 p.m. against San Francisco in the final home nonconference match of the season.
