SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara softball team and the Pacific Coast Softball Conference announced today that Angela Kabanuck was named PCSC Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, March 11. Kabanuck's strong play helped the Broncos sweep a doubleheader with Idaho State last Wednesday, March 7, and led them to a win over Charlotte and kept them in three close ballgames this past weekend at the NIST. For the Broncos, this is the first weekly honor of the season.

Over seven games this week, Kabanuck was a stellar 14-for-24 with a .583 batting average. The Bronco's centerfielder blasted two home runs, a double and three runs batted in. She is currently riding a 14-game hitting streak and a nine-game multi-hit streak with exactly two hits in every game Santa Clara has played dating back to March 3 vs. Connecticut. She currently leads the Broncos with a .418 batting average, 41 hits and six home runs.

The Broncos are back in action Wednesday, March 14 when they host Northern Iowa at Marsalli Park. Game one of the doubleheader begins at 2:00 p.m.
