11 Broncos Named to PCSC Commissioner's Honor Roll

Santa Clara, Calif. - The Pacific Coast Softball Conference announced the 2006 Commissioner's Honor Roll today and 11 members of the Santa Clara University team were recognized. Student-athletes who achieve a grade point average of 3.0 or higher earn a spot on the PCSC honor roll.

Headlining the honor roll for the Broncos are the recently-graduated Liz Courter (3.99 GPA), Jenny Brown (3.78 GPA), Jessica Cleee (3.61 GPA) and Kate Goethals (3.16 GPA). Brown and Clee previously earned All-PCSC honors for their outstanding play in 2006.

Under first-year head coach Steve Rianda, the Broncos finished in third place last season in PCSC with an 11-9 record, pushing their four-year record in the conference to 48-30. Rianda's squad set program records for RBIs (185) and doubles (66), while Clee set single-season individual marks for hits (72), runs (39), home runs (11) and slugging percentage (.678).
