SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Senior third baseman Megan Smith has been named to the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District Second Team for the University Division of District 8. The senior from Salinas, Calif. carries a 3.93 cumulative GPA as an Economics major.
Smith started 42 games and appeared in 43 this season. She finished second on the team in home runs (6) and RBIs (18) and hit three doubles. Smith also had the second highest slugging percentage on the team (.438) and tied for the lead with most walks (18).
