Complete Release from the PCSC
SANTA CLARA - Sophomore Briana Knight and junior Jackie Nicora, both starting outfielders for the Santa Clara softball team this season that played in every game this year, were recently named to the Pacific Coast Softball Conference All-Coastal Division First Team.
The two were the only Broncos honored in the annual conference awards, which for the first time ever was split into divisional honors with the addition of the Mountain Division this season.
This is the first time either player was honored on the conference's first team. Last season, Knight in her rookie season earned honorable mention.
Knight led the team in RBIs (26), home runs (7), hits (40), and slugging percentage (.453) while also smacking six doubles. Knight finished the season with a .270 batting average and a .953 fielding percentage.
